Domaine Thierry Mortet – Vignes Belles – Gevrey Chambertin 2021

The wine is produced from 2 parcels located in the lieu-dit “Vignes Belles”. It offers a subtle and complex nose of black fruit aromas, a sweet and delicate mouthfeel. Dense, good concentration, good length and well integrated oak.

This appellation is spread over 2 plots in the place called “Vignes Belles”, one of 40 ares is approximately 35 years old and the other of 30 ares is around ten years old.

These vines are planted on limestone soil and lots of clay.

30% of the aging takes place in new barrels for 16 to 17 months without racking. The remaining 70% is aged in vats for 5 months then drawn into older barrels for 11 to 12 months.

Production is 45 Hl/Ha, for 3500 bottles sold.
