Villa De Croix Pinot Noir Pays d’Oc 2021

Hailing from Pays d’Oc in the south of France Villa des Croix Pinot Noir is richer and heavier than its more famous counterparts in Burgundy. It should come as no surprise that it’s so good considering that it’s made by a professor at Montpellier University of Oenology. The grapes are harvested just to the west of his workplace and this vegan-friendly Pinot Noir sees no oak at all. You may detect the warmer climate in a grilled and slightly smoky note amidst the wild strawberry lush cherry and menthol. A charred nuance combined with the refreshing fruit acidity.
